Curtains, Couple Dating Etiquette and a Baby Shower

So last week we went to see this musical curtains up in West Valley. I highly recommend it. It was hilarious and even though i think it might be a community theater all of the actors/actresses have some kind of degree in it. Dallin and i agree that it is a total tragedy that they do not get paid. They were all very talented.  I always forget how much i love going to the theatre until i actually go. It allows you to feel classy, because you get to dress up, and it's more thrilling than going to the movies because there is a chance that the people could mess up. But again, i highly recommend it. It's kind of a comical murder mystery and we were both giggling throughout the entire show.

On another note: might i note that these past couple weeks i have made a funny observation. When you get married or get into a super serious relationship you don't stop dating. It's not that your dating other people, but more that you and your spouse are dating other couples. It really makes me giggle. Obviously you have your regular other couples. Like for me and Dallin, we hang out with justin and katey or sarah and jake at least once or twice a week. But there are also the other couples that you try out for the first time. For example, me and Dallin were invited to go to dinner with this awesome couple from our ward last week. It went super well, they are really fun people. The thing that really made me giggle though is that we both got the standard after-date text that night after we left. I laughed so hard. And then of course we texted back that we would like to do it again sometime. And then we proceeded to give it about two days before setting up the next time we'd be doing dinner. Then on saturday night we went up to this laser show with one of my good friends from ohio who also manages the shop in sandy with Dallin. It was alot of fun too. He had a really fun group of friends. The whole thing went super late and we didn't get home until about 1am. However, as soon as we got home we both got that after-date text. We sent one back again suggesting we should do it again sometime. i wouldnt be suprised if Dallin sets it up again at work tomorrow. I just have to giggle. You never really do get rid of the dating scene. It just transforms into something else. I have decided though that i love having Dallin as my dating partner. He is a good asset i think. He is witty and funny and who couldn't love his cartoon features.  Plus i figure, i enjoyed dating him, why wouldn't other couples? Dallin is awesome.  I really scored a good partner. Best husband ever.

Okay so i know this isn't my most flattering picture. I look like i have psychological issues, but this was alot of fun. It was Venessa's baby shower on Saturday. Holy crap, so much fun. She is the cutests pregnant person ever. She makes me think it wouldn't be so bad. But she's having a girl and she's due on new years eve. So she got the cutest little clothes for her daughter. I wish i had've gotten a picture of her. Seriously, so cute. but we played some pretty fun baby shower games. The one in the picture to the left.. The had 6 diapers with candy bars smushed in the bottom and the object of the game was to guess which the candy bars were. Way fun and it looked like we were all sniffing nasty dirty diapers. I have to be honest. I think baby showers are way more fun than bridal showers. Not only is there a constant "awww"ing throughout the gift opening, but the games are way funnier. Plus there are so many games you can do that they don't get repeated at every single shower. It was alot of fun. We are so excited to see the Shafer's little girl. She's bound to be such a cutie.
